Señora Feigenbaum

*Bachelors in Spanish from Furman University
*Masters in Education from University of Florida
*At Langston since 2007

My very first job (besides a lot of babysitting!) was at the Olympics in Los Angeles. It was an amazing experience, and one thing I realized was that not everyone in the world speaks English. I had struggled through Spanish in high school where I grew up in a very rural town in upstate New York. I hadn't valued the language until I got to use some of it to communicate with Spanish speaking athletes at the Olympic games.

I then began to focus my studies on the Spanish language while completing my Bachelor's degree at Furman University, and took a semester studying abroad at the University of Madrid. The more I understood, the more I liked learning Spanish...

Since that time I have taught in many different situations, from preschool through high school, while raising four children of my own.

I came to Langston Charter Middle School in 2007.
Langston is the best learning environment I have found, with more motivated students - a direct result of single-gender classes, supportive parents, excellent administration, an incredibly amazing board, and dedicated colleagues.

This year I hope to help each student better understand - and therefore hopefully enjoy-Spanish!
